BoatHub
BoatHub is one more great reason to be a member of the Port Credit Yacht Club!
Get access to PCYC’s maintained J/24 sailboats all season long — without the cost, upkeep, or hassle of owning a boat. Book flexible time slots, enjoy club facilities with guests, and connect with fellow sailors on Lake Ontario.
Boat Hub membership gives you access all season long to the PCYC owned and maintained J/24 sailboats. Hone your nautical skills on a great performance boat that’s easy to sail, and learn the ins and outs of boat ownership. This is an easy way to experience the many joys of owning a boat for a fraction of the cost and time commitment.
No need to worry about things like maintenance, sail inventory, fueling up and insurance. Just book your time and go! Along with the use of PCYC facilities for you and your guests, each boat can be signed out for one of two time slots per day. Join a community of like-minded people who want to get out for some fun and camaraderie on Lake Ontario.
- Members can sign out a sailboat for one of two daily time slots (morning or afternoon).
- You’re free to bring guests and enjoy PCYC facilities before or after your sail.
- Each group of boats is capped at eight members — meaning great access to weekly bookings and last-minute slots.
BoatHub is open to current PCYC Senior or Associate members who meet basic qualifications. If you’re not a PCYC member yet, you’ll need to join to participate.
To book and skipper a boat, you need:
- A valid Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
- An ROC-M VHF Marine Radio license
- Sail Canada Basic Cruising certification or equivalent experience (or demonstrate skills to a club instructor).
If you’re already a PCYC Associate or Senior member, the annual BoatHub fee is $1,050 + HST — which works out to less than ~$40 per sail.
(Non-members are welcome but must join PCYC first; membership fees vary by category.)
