Weekly Racing

PCYC runs one of the most active club racing programs on Lake Ontario, with a season that runs mid-May through mid-September. Racing happens every Monday and Wednesday evening, with the first warning signal at 1830, and both nights use the Performance Handicap Racing Fleet of Lake Ontario (PHRF-LO) system. Getting a handicap certificate for club and open events is simple: reach out to the PCYC Handicapper Team at handicapper@pcyc.net.

Monday nights bring White Sail racing, built for competitive racers and sailors who prefer a more relaxed pace alike. Faster boats sail a windward/leeward course twice around, while slightly slower fleets sail a triangle followed by a windward/leeward leg.

Wednesday nights step it up with competitive spinnaker racing alongside White Sail racing. Spinnaker fleets sail a windward/leeward course twice around, and White Sail fleets sail a triangle followed by a windward/leeward leg.
