The Team!

Club racing doesn't just happen.  Our volunteers make it happen!

Club racing happens thanks to a handful of dedicated volunteers.  They donate countless hours to ensure you are able to get out and have safe, competitive, and fun racing at our club.  Have a look at who they are, and if you haven't already signed up to race, give it a try this season!

John Crawley

John is shy, and doesn't like to brag. He's also photo-shy.

He's great, but you'll have to take our word for it until you meet him in person to see for youself.

Pat Lymburner

I am a Sail Canada National Race Officer, Race Management Course Conductor and certified Mark Layer. I was  the PRO at CORK for almost 20 years and continue on the Board of Directors. I am a Past President of LYRA and PHRF-LO. My most recent assignments as a Race Officer include the J24 Worlds, Shark Worlds, J24 North Americans, Shark Canadians, Albacore Canadians, Wayfarer Canadians various LORC events and, of course CORK. I have also been on the World Cup Laser Course Race Team in Miami for over 10 years.

I live in Oakville with my bride Jackie and am a member of Port Credit Yacht Club where we keep our boat MYNX2 in D4. Our family consists of two daughters, two sons and 6 grandchildren.

I have been honoured as a recipient of the Ontario Syl Apps medal, the Ontario Sailing Presidents Award, CORKs Douglas Heath Award and the PCYC Commodores Award.

Rob McVicar

Rob doesn't like to brag.  And we had to sneak this picture of him.

He runs our Wendesday night series.

Katie Nicoll

Katie Coleman Nicoll, a retired middle school teacher, can now devote more time to the LTS, BoatHub and Fleet committees as an Associate member. A National Judge and Umpire, she is also Chair of the PCYC Protest Committee. She grew up sailing lasers and lightnings and then moved into J/24s. Her family grew up sailing Quick Nick, which can still be seen about the club.

Anne Sanderson

Anne has been part of the volunteer race management community for 20 years.  She has volunteered at a club level, provincially and has been fortunate to be a member of race committee teams in the United States, Europe and South America.  She volunteers at both youth and adult events.

She belonged to the National Yacht Club for 12 years before joining Port Credit Yacht Club.  Once an active racer in both the weekday and weekend circuits, her volunteer time with race committee allows for her to stay connected to the racing community.  New races are welcome to contact Anne at sandersonam@outlook.com.

Linda Clarke

Linda is our Crew Bank Captain!

Linda volunteers her time to ensuring interested crew have a boat to go out and race on to improve their skills and grow our community. Interested skippers and crew are welcome to contact Linda at cheflindy@me.com.

So if you see any of them around the club, give a shout out for all that they do!
