Visiting by Boat

Incoming Cruise and Regatta Participants

Participants in regattas and incoming cruises generally provide their mooring requirements to the person or group that is organizing the event. The docking needs for the event are then provided to the PCYC Harbourmaster for the incoming group as a whole. Participants in regattas and incoming cruises should report to the PCYC Harbourmaster after docking in order to confirm their arrival and to receive orientation information regarding PCYC.

Individual Cruisers

PCYC welcomes members of reciprocal yacht clubs to visit our facilities by boat.

While we are unable to take reservations for dock space, we invite visitors to enquire about availability of dock space for their desired dates up to 48 hours before the intended arrival date and time. Such an enquiry is made by completing a Visitor Enquiry form and emailing the completed form to the PCYC Harbourmaster at harbourmaster@pcyc.net. The Harbourmaster will advise on availability of space on the same day for enquiries received up to 5 p.m. EDT. In his response, the Harbourmaster will include a detailed PCYC harbour map to facilitate the visitor's entry into our harbour.

Visitors who are unable to enquire in advance about dock space availability should hail the PCYC Harbourmaster on VHF 68 when in the vicinity of PCYC. Harbour staff generally cannot be reached by telephone.

When entering the PCYC harbour, a visiting boat should hail Harbour Staff on VHF 68 to request a dock assignment and docking assistance. If no member of staff is immediately available, the visiting boat will tie up briefly on the Visitor Wall until staff are able to provide the required information and assistance.

Once a visiting boat is moored in its assigned slip, the captain or a crew member should visit the Harbourmaster's Office to register, pay any fees, obtain a gate fob if needed and receive visitor orientation information.

Reciprocal guests are permitted to visit PCYC a maximum of five nights per season. A day trip to PCYC counts as one night. There is no charge for the first night's stay, but subsequent nights are charged at the rate of $1.25 per foot LOA. There is a maximum of two complimentary nights per season. Visa, Mastercard and debit cards are acceptable forms of payment. Cash is not accepted.

Check-out time is 11 a.m. Check-in time is noon.
