CANSail 3 & 4
Prerequisites: CANSail 1 & CANSail 2 checklists completed
CANSail 3 & 4 progressively builds and develops the skills in CANSail 1 & 2, with a focus on keeping the sailor engaged with appropriate challenges and learning opportunities. We will be running our “Chutes and Wires 1” course concurrently with CANSail 4, in order to provide this fun and challenging spinnaker and trapeze work experience to students that are ready for it!
CANSail 3&4 includes the opportunity for some local regatta participation (Steerers and Four Sisters etc.). Regattas may require some travel, and parents are needed for travel planning, chaperoning, pulling trailers, and assisting at regattas should students choose to attend. Please note that regatta fees and travel expenses (transportation, lodging, food) are not covered in the program registration fee. Parents will be needed for logistical support and to chaperone at regattas away from PCYC. Coaching will be provided.
