Born in Montreal Cliff Krysmanski moved with his family to Ontario at the age of twelve in the mid seventies and has lived in the GTA area since.
Cliff fell into cooking by flipping pancakes to earn extra cash at a local diner at the age of 14 but it wasn’t until his final year at the University of Toronto that he realized his passion for food, service and the heat and clamour of the kitchens would decide his career path. He subsequently began and finished a traditional European style apprenticeship under the tutelage of Chef Josef Vonlanthen at the 900 room Regal Constellation Hotel in Toronto. He eventually worked his way through the kitchens there to rise to the position of Executive Sous Chef.
In 2001 he accepted the position of Executive Chef at Dundas Valley Golf and Curling, a private club just outside of Hamilton, manning the stoves there for the last decade.
He lives in Oakville with his wife Linda and three young monkeys: Aidan, Evan and Liam.
