The Dorothy Trophy

Donated by Jane and Paul Messanger in honour of Jane’s mother Dorothy.

Dorothy started Jane on a life long connection with the Port Credit Yacht Club by sending her to sailing school as a young teenager. The PCYC has been the big winner because of that connection. Not only have Paul and Jane’s children been very active members of the Learn to Sail Program, the J24 fleet, and great crew for many different skippers, Paul and Jane have been tireless workers and promoters in all aspects of activities at PCYC. Jane’ involvement has included WizzBang, Learn to Sail Auction, (both as organizer and buyer), and the Pool Committee. Paul has supported our racing program as a PRO and mark setter of the marks he so generously donated to the club.

The Dorothy Trophy is awarded for best corrected time  in the Double-Handed  Spinnaker Division 3 of the LO300.
