Founders Cup

This cup is dedicated to Jack Morch and Norm Pearse, two of the 25 founding members of PCYC. Through their generosity, the first clubhouse was built. Jack Morch was the first Commodore of PCYC, and he and Norm Pearse were the first life members. The cup is awarded to the yacht in the combined Spinnaker Division with the best low-point total in the series. First awarded in 1936, it was considered to be the major racing award of the year. As the fleet expanded other trophies were created for other overall winners.

Donated by J.J. Morch & N.C. Pearce and originally called the Commodore’s Cup.

First awarded in 1936, this trophy was originally topped with a silver sailboat.
